In yet another brazen display of duplicity, the Islamist State of Qatar—known for its unrelenting efforts to destabilize Western democracies and expand the reach of radical Islam—issued a statement on Saturday calling for intensified international efforts to place all Israeli nuclear facilities under the safeguards of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). Further, Qatar demanded that Israel join the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) as a non-nuclear state.
This demand was made by Qatar’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations Office and International Organizations in Vienna, Jassim Yacoub Al Hammadi, during a session of the IAEA Board of Governors. Ostensibly, the session was intended to discuss the situation in the "occupied Palestinian territories" and Israel’s nuclear capabilities. However, it quickly devolved into another forum for anti-Israel rhetoric fueled by Qatar’s relentless campaign to demonize the Jewish state while whitewashing its own role in sponsoring terrorism.

Al Hammadi sanctimoniously lectured the international community on the need to enforce UN Security Council resolutions, the UN General Assembly, the IAEA, and the 1995 Review Conference of the NPT—resolutions that have long been used as political weapons against Israel. He reiterated the well-worn talking point that all Middle Eastern nations, except Israel, are NPT signatories with active safeguard agreements—conveniently omitting the fact that these same nations, including Qatar, have openly or covertly aided, abetted, or financed terrorist organizations committed to Israel’s destruction.
Qatar’s Blatant Lies and Strategic Misdirection
Pretending to be a neutral advocate for global nuclear non-proliferation, Qatar instead wielded its UN platform to spew falsehoods about Israel’s defensive measures in Judea and Samaria. Al Hammadi accused Israel of executing an "aggressive policy" that includes so-called "extremist calls for the forced displacement of the Palestinian people," intensifying military operations, blocking humanitarian aid to Gaza, and restricting the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA). Nowhere in his speech did he acknowledge Qatar’s own complicity in fueling terrorism, including its documented financial and logistical support for Hamas and other militant factions responsible for the bloodshed in Israel.

A Must…
Al Hammadi also failed to mention that UNRWA, a corrupt and compromised organization, has served as a front for Hamas' military operations, with many of its employees moonlighting as terrorist commanders. Instead, Qatar pushed a narrative of Israeli aggression while ignoring the true enablers of violence—the very terrorists that Qatar funds, arms, and shelters.
Qatar’s Attempt to Weaponize the ICJ Against Israel
Adding to its arsenal of anti-Israel lawfare, Qatar revealed that it had submitted a written memorandum to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) seeking an advisory opinion based on a UN General Assembly resolution passed on December 19, 2024. The memorandum aims to distort Israel’s legal obligations by demanding that it allow UN and international organizations, including UNRWA, unfettered access to "occupied Palestinian territories." This move, unsurprisingly, aligns with Qatar’s broader strategy of exploiting international legal institutions to delegitimize Israel while shielding Islamist regimes from scrutiny.
Ironically, Qatar—a nation notorious for its abysmal human rights record—dares to lecture Israel while turning a blind eye to atrocities committed across the Middle East. Where was Qatar’s outcry over the systematic mass murder of Arabs in Syria by Bashar al-Assad or of Alawites in Syria by the new Syrian masters in HTS? Where is its concern for the human slaves subjected to brutal conditions within Qatar's own borders? While the UN disproportionately fixates on Israel, Qatar and its allies continue their unchecked abuses with impunity.

The Ultimate Hypocrisy: Qatar’s Call for International Oversight
In a final act of cynical posturing, Qatar’s memorandum calls for Israel to "respect and protect" the property of the UN and other international organizations, including schools, medical facilities, transportation infrastructure, and water resources, as well as their personnel. Of course, this plea conveniently ignores Hamas' well-documented strategy of embedding its military infrastructure within schools, hospitals, and civilian neighborhoods—deliberately endangering innocent lives to provoke retaliatory strikes from Israel.
Al Hammadi’s statement concluded with the tired, hollow demand that the international community take "decisive action" to force Israel into compliance with international resolutions, recognize the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination, and restore "security and stability" in the region. This, coming from a country that funds terrorism, foments instability, and actively undermines the West, is nothing short of laughable.
LOL, Qatar 🇶🇦 just demanded that Israel be forced to join and be supervised by the IAEA and the NPT. Good luck with that. 😆 #GTFOH

Conclusion: Qatar’s Strategy of Deception
Qatar’s latest diplomatic stunt at the IAEA is yet another example of its calculated strategy to smear Israel while diverting attention from its own well-documented role in global Islamist extremism. The international community would do well to recognize this deception for what it is: a desperate attempt by a terror-sponsoring state to shift the global narrative away from its own crimes. Instead of pandering to Qatar’s hypocritical demands, world powers should hold Doha accountable for its unrelenting support for jihadist groups that threaten both Israel and the West. Until that happens, Qatar’s sanctimonious lectures on "peace and security" should be treated with the disdain they deserve.
