Millions of Israelis were jolted out of their Sunday morning routine as Red Alert sirens blared across the country, triggered by a hypersonic ballistic missile launched from Yemen by the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist organization. The attack, which occurred at approximately 10:40 AM, sent shockwaves—both literal and psychological—through the heart of the nation.
From Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, and stretching as far south as Hebron, the piercing cry of air raid sirens forced families, commuters, and workers to scramble for shelter in a chilling reminder that Israel remains under constant threat from radical elements across the region.

This marks the second Houthi missile assault on Israel in less than 72 hours. Early Friday morning, just after 7:30 AM, two ballistic missiles were also intercepted by Israeli defense systems in a preemptive strike that prevented what could have been catastrophic damage.
Miraculously, no injuries or damage have been reported in either attack.
An Expanding Front in the Regional Conflict
These escalating missile attacks are unfolding as U.S. forces intensify their own military campaign against Houthi strongholds in Yemen. In what the Pentagon is calling “Operation Relentless Resolve,” American airstrikes have hammered dozens of strategic targets across Houthi-controlled territory.
Since the operation began on March 15, U.S. airstrikes have hit:
- Sanaa International Airport
- Saada Province
- Hudaydah
- Al-Jawf
- Amran
- Marib
- Even civilian zones in the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, according to local sources.

In a bold statement, former U.S. President Donald Trump—widely seen as a force behind America’s assertive posture in the Middle East—told reporters:
“Our strikes every day and night have been extremely successful — beyond our wildest expectations. We will do this for a long time — we can keep going. They want us to stop so badly.”
The message from Washington and Jerusalem is unmistakable: Terrorism will be met with overwhelming and uncompromising force.
The Iranian Connection
Analysts continue to point to Iran’s direct involvement in training, arming, and directing the Houthis, part of the broader Shiite crescent seeking to encircle and destabilize Israel. The use of hypersonic missiles—advanced, fast, and difficult to intercept—signals a dangerous evolution in Tehran’s regional proxy warfare.
Israel should respond to Houthi attacks by targeting Iran directly, said former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, arguing Tehran finances and controls the Yemeni group. "It is Iran that finances, arms, trains, and operates the Houthis. Iran has a lot to lose; the Houthis…

Israel remains vigilant, with IAF, Mossad, and Military Intelligence closely monitoring missile launch platforms in Yemen, as well as Hezbollah positions in Lebanon and Iranian deployments in Syria.
As this new front intensifies, one thing is clear: Israel's enemies are growing bolder—and so is the Jewish State’s resolve.
