Trump Declares Victory Over Iran’s Nuclear Program—But Tehran Isn’t Surrendering.
“IIran will never rebuild their nuclear facilities,” proclaimed a triumphant U.S. President Donald Trump Tuesday morning, hours after announcing a ceasefire between Iran and Israel. The former President, who ordered U.S. warplanes to strike alongside Israeli forces in a historic joint assault on Iran’s nuclear infrastructure, claimed that the Islamic Republic’s atomic ambitions had been “obliterated.”
But within hours, Iran struck back—not just with missiles, but with defiance. Tehran’s nuclear chief, Mohammad Eslami, emerged to declare that while the damage was real, Iran was already moving forward with plans to restore and resume its nuclear activities.
IRAN DECLARES IT WILL RECONSTITUTE ITS NUCLEAR PROGRAM.

This is exactly what I was talking about on radio last evening and posted about as well. Serious questions about a ceasefire or any deal with a genocidal terrorist regime with a Jihadist/Islamist ideology There are very…
“We were prepared for this. The process will not stop,” Eslami boasted in an interview with Iran’s state-controlled Mehr News Agency, adding that recovery operations are underway to prevent any interruption in uranium enrichment and nuclear development.
Israel’s Campaign: Precise, Devastating, Unfinished
Israel’s 12-day air campaign, codenamed Operation Rising Lion, delivered what officials in Jerusalem are calling the most punishing blows ever dealt to Iran’s nuclear program. Beginning June 13, the Israeli Air Force—later joined by U.S. B-2 bombers—pounded uranium enrichment facilities, underground bunkers, R&D labs, and logistical sites supporting Iran’s nuclear and missile industries.
Particularly devastating were U.S. strikes using bunker-busting ordnance on hardened sites near Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan—facilities believed to house Iran’s most advanced centrifuges and weapons research teams.
Trump: “I don't want to see regime change in Iran. Regime change creates chaos. Iran is not going to get a nuclear weapon, that's the last thing they're thinking about right now”

Meanwhile in Tehran…
Atomic Energy Organization of Iran chief Mohammad Eslami:
“We had made…
“We did not just delay Iran’s program—we set it back years,” a senior Israeli defense official said. “But if this ceasefire holds, we may have handed them a chance to regroup.”
Ceasefire on the Brink as Missiles Fly
The ceasefire announced by Trump was supposed to mark the end of a high-intensity regional war. But it may prove short-lived. Just hours after the deal was brokered, two Iranian missiles were launched toward northern Israel, prompting a new round of outrage from Jerusalem.
While Iran’s ISNA state news outlet denied the launch, Israeli officials confirmed the rockets were intercepted over the Galilee, adding that retaliatory options are “on the table.”
French President Emmanuel Macron praised the ceasefire as a step toward regional stability, but warned that renewed violence would be “catastrophic.” Paris also echoed Israeli and American positions, demanding Iran never be allowed to obtain nuclear weapons.

“Iran must engage in negotiations that address its nuclear program, ballistic missile development, and regional destabilization,” the French Foreign Ministry said.
Iran’s Hypocrisy Exposed
While Iran continues to insist its nuclear program is peaceful, its actions paint a far more sinister picture. According to intelligence gathered by Israel, Iran had recently enriched uranium to levels approaching weapons-grade and was exploring weaponization pathways.
Iran also obstructed IAEA inspectors, denied site access, and expanded its ballistic missile program—all hallmarks of a regime operating in bad faith. These developments prompted the International Atomic Energy Agency’s Director General Rafael Grossi to plead for renewed cooperation, warning that the alternative could be nuclear escalation.
“Diplomatic channels must remain open, but verification is non-negotiable,” Grossi wrote on X, urging Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi to meet.
Two things can be correct at the same time:

1) We appreciate Trump's assistance with destroying the nuclear program.
2) However, it wasn't his call to prematurely end the war and throw the regime in Iran a lifeline to survive, let alone enforce his ceasefire so brazenly.
War by the Numbers
Iran’s retaliation for Israel’s campaign has been staggering:
-
550 ballistic missiles launched at Israeli cities.
-
Over 1,000 explosive drones deployed.
-
28 civilians killed, including children and the elderly.
-
Thousands injured, many critically.
-
Hospitals, universities, and apartment complexes struck directly.
Despite the destruction, Israeli officials remain resolute.

“Iran’s dream of annihilating the Jewish State will remain just that—a dream,” said Prime Minister Netanyahu. “We will do whatever it takes, with or without international support, to stop this regime from going nuclear.”
The Bigger Picture
Trump’s declaration of victory is politically potent—but its permanence is far from certain. Without follow-through mechanisms or enforcement clauses in the ceasefire, Iran could quietly rebuild its nuclear infrastructure.
And if it does, it will likely do so with the same secretive malice and apocalyptic zeal that prompted this war in the first place.
