President Trump himself signaled optimism, proclaiming at a White House press event, “We have good news on Gaza.” Hours later, he dined privately with Qatari Prime Minister Muhammad bin Abdulrahman al-Thani, sending a clear signal that Washington is deeply invested in closing the deal.

Trump’s personal involvement appears to have resonated across the negotiating table.
