The Iranian news agency "Tasnim" reported Monday afternoon that the Iranian security forces arrested a “terrorist cell” linked to Israel, likely members of Iran's persecuted Baha’i religious sector. An official in Iran's judicial system told the news agency that the 14-member squad planned to carry out several assassinations for different purposes. This comes after last September, when the Iranian news agency "IRNA" reported that the Ministry of Intelligence and National Security of the Islamic Republic arrested 12 members of the Baha'i religion in Mazandaran district, in the north of the country, on suspicion of spying for Israel. According to the report, "members of the Zionist organization were identified and arrested in various cities in the district."
Also, according to the report, two of the leaders of the spy organization were trained at the "World Justice House", which is located in the iconic Baha'i Center in Haifa and established a spy cell with other members of the organization throughout the northern district.
