In a stunning intelligence revelation, documents seized by Israeli security forces in Gaza have exposed the Islamist regime of Qatar as far more than a neutral intermediary in the Israel-Hamas conflict. Far from being a fair broker, Qatar is shown to be Hamas’s strategic enabler, a clandestine partner of Iran and Turkey in regional subversion, and an ideological engine behind the continued violence engulfing the Middle East and beyond.
According to Hebrew media reports aired Sunday night on Channel 12, Hamas viewed Qatar not just as a donor—but as indispensable. In a private 2019 meeting, former Hamas politburo chief Ismail Haniyeh personally told Qatar’s then-Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani—now its Prime Minister—that Qatari funds were “the main lifeline of the movement.”
Fresh intelligence confirms what should have been blindingly obvious.

Hamas and Qatar were colluding to foil Middle East peace.
Qatar is not a peacemaker.
It’s an enemy state. pic.twitter.com/2vBLZSRSsQ
These funds weren’t limited to Gaza. Channel 12 further revealed that Qatar funneled money and support to Hamas terror operations abroad, with a Palestinian Authority intelligence report uncovering cooperation between Qatari intelligence officers and Hamas operatives regarding specialized military training camps in Qatar and Turkey. These camps reportedly even absorbed Palestinian fighters from Syria to be redeployed as part of Hamas's militant brigades in Lebanon.
Qatar, Not Egypt, Now Hamas’s Chosen Patron
A memo authored by Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar—later assassinated by Israel—bragged about deliberately cutting Egypt out of negotiations with Israel in 2020. Sinwar stated Hamas left Egypt “empty-handed and out of the picture,” choosing instead to “hand the opportunity to reap the fruits of diplomacy” to Qatar. This maneuvering confirms that Qatar had effectively supplanted Egypt as Hamas's foreign anchor—both financially and politically.
Qatar signed a $1 TRILLION deal with Trump—then secretly coordinated with Hamas to sabotage his peace plan.

Now they fund encampments, host Hamas, & play “mediator” while Jews die.

Qatar Plotted to Derail the Trump Peace Plan
In yet another explosive detail, documents indicate Qatar worked in lockstep with Hamas, Iran, and Turkey to actively sabotage the Trump Administration’s 2020 “Deal of the Century,” a historic peace proposal that would eventually catalyze the Abraham Accords. In one confidential 2019 meeting, Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani expressed concern to Hamas leader Khaled Mashal that Oman might normalize ties with Israel, warning:
“Regarding Palestine, Oman is on one side and we are on the other… We must cooperate to oppose and thwart the Deal of the Century.”
These weren’t idle concerns. According to reports, Qatari leadership saw normalization as the “end of the Palestinian national project” and worked aggressively to rally Islamist-aligned states such as Pakistan and Malaysia to resist it.
Anyone who has studied the Qatar–Hamas relationship knows this without question: Qatar controls Hamas. Every decision, every delay, every escalation.

Hamas would never have dared launch October 7 without a green light from Doha. Qatar bankrolls them, hosts their leaders, and… pic.twitter.com/I1McdDRHd6
Financial Support for Terror, Framed as ‘Humanitarian Aid’
Haniyeh confirmed in a secret 2021 message to Sinwar that he had secured “discreet financial support” from the Qatari emir following Israel’s Operation Guardian of the Walls. In chillingly cynical fashion, Haniyeh proposed dedicating the operation’s “victory” to the emir—essentially offering terror as tribute.
And yet, even after Hamas’s October 7 massacre, Qatar has continued to style itself as a peace broker. For years, it has enjoyed privileged status as a so-called humanitarian partner, transferring hundreds of millions in cash to Gaza—with Jerusalem’s approval, no less—despite widespread concerns that the money has fueled Hamas’s war chest, not Palestinian well-being.

Qatar’s Campaign to Undermine the West
The scandal doesn’t stop at Gaza. Qatar has poured billions of dollars into Western academic institutions, think tanks, and advocacy groups with the goal of reshaping public opinion and undermining democratic societies from within. These investments include funding organizations that have actively spread unrest across America and Europe since the onset of the Gaza war.
From backing radical voices in Black Lives Matter and ANTIFA, to promoting Islamist narratives on elite college campuses, Qatar has weaponized Western freedom of speech to propagate an anti-Israel, anti-West ideology rooted in the doctrines of the Muslim Brotherhood—the same organization that birthed Hamas.
Far from being a friend or ally to the West, Qatar has emerged as a master of double-dealing—publicly posturing as a broker of peace while clandestinely fueling chaos, terror, and extremism.
