In a heartbreaking development that has shaken the entire nation, the Samaria Regional Council and the residents of Bruchin announced with profound sorrow the death of infant Ravid Chaim, the newborn son of Tse'ala Gaz who was brutally murdered in a Palestinian terrorist attack two weeks ago while en route to give birth.
Ravid Chaim clung to life for 14 harrowing days after being delivered in emergency circumstances following the fatal shooting of his mother. His brief existence was marked by struggle, trauma, and the collective prayers of a grieving people. This morning, his father, Chananel Gez, received the devastating news at the hospital: his newborn son, born into tragedy, had succumbed to the injuries inflicted by evil.
My heart is shattered.

A Double Murder that Shocks the Conscience
Yossi Dagan, Head of the Samaria Regional Council, did not mince words in his powerful condemnation:
“This is nothing short of a double murder — a mother and her baby! The entire world should be horrified. We demand a Zionist response: building and more building (sovereignty" in memory of Ravid and Tse'ala!”
Dagan called for immediate military action, specifically a ground offensive in the village of Bruqin, widely believed to be a hotbed of terrorist activity. He further demanded the demolition of all illegal structures that continue to endanger Israelis traveling the roads of Judea and Samaria:
“To our astonishment, this still hasn’t happened.. We embrace the family and will stand by them with whatever they need. The people of Israel and the entire world are mourning this barbaric and horrific murder.”

Her baby, Ravid Chaim, was delivered in an emergency C-section.
He fought to live.
Today, he passed away.

A Community in Mourning — and Rising
Meital Ben Yosef, Chairwoman of the Bruchin community, delivered an emotional tribute:
“A baby who was supposed to be born and come into the world with joy and great anticipation, took his last breath this morning after struggling between life and death since the day of his birth exactly two weeks ago. The community of Bruchin grieves and mourns the passing of the infant Ravid Chaim, son of Tse'ala, may her memory be a blessing.”
She condemned the attack as an act of evil committed by a cowardly terrorist who sought not only to murder a mother, but to erase a Jewish soul from the world before it could even breathe.
“A vile and despicable terrorist murdered a mother and her son together in an attempt to erase and destroy the people of Israel. We will not be silent and we will not stop — we will continue and expand our memorial and response project to this horrific murder. We will add construction and settlement and expand the boundary of life and holiness. We will make it clear to all our enemies that we are here in our ancestral land and we will remain here forever!”

A Call to the World: Where is the Outrage?
This latest tragedy underscores the relentless war waged against Israeli civilians — a war that claims pregnant women, babies, and families simply for living in their ancestral homeland. The silence of the international community in the face of such bloodshed is deafening, and the duplicity of those who excuse terrorism is intolerable.
The people of Israel, however, are not silent. They rise in mourning, and they rise in resolve.
“We are here. We are home. And no bullet, no terrorist, no hate will uproot us from the land of our forefathers.”
