Iran Strikes Israeli Hospital in Brazen Missile Barrage: 89 Wounded, Surgical Wing Obliterated in Beersheva.
In a chilling escalation of Iran’s war on Israel, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) launched a pre-dawn barrage of ballistic missiles that tore through central Israeli cities and dealt a direct blow to Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba—the primary hospital serving Israel’s entire southern region.
According to Magen David Adom (MDA), 89 people were wounded across Israel, with three in critical condition and six seriously injured in separate strikes in Ramat Gan and Holon. The Soroka missile strike, a symbolic and strategic assault, left extensive damage across the facility, including a direct hit on the hospital’s old surgical building.

Hospital Targeted, Lives Miraculously Spared
A hospital spokesperson confirmed that multiple areas of the facility sustained impact damage. Rescue teams worked urgently to extract individuals trapped in elevators, and emergency medical units flooded the scene.
Fortunately, the old surgical ward that absorbed the missile impact had been evacuated just the day before, thanks to foresight amid the ongoing war. Prof. Shlomi Kodesh, Director General of Soroka, confirmed, “A missile hit the old surgical ward. The damage is widespread, but we had moved patients out in advance. Our staff and patients were in protected areas. It could have been a massacre.”
Eli Bin, head of Magen David Adom, credited the evacuation decision for saving countless lives. “Had that floor still been in use, we would be reporting mass casualties,” he stated grimly.

In central Israel, multiple additional missiles found their mark. Explosions shook residential and commercial zones, with direct impacts reported in at least three densely populated cities. The IDF confirmed that over 30 missiles were launched in the salvo, most intercepted—but not all.

Iranian Justification Exposed as Thin Pretext
The IRGC issued a statement attempting to rationalize the hospital strike by claiming Soroka was near a "military command and intelligence hub." Israeli officials slammed the justification as a transparent attempt to excuse a deliberate attack on a civilian medical facility.
Nationwide Shock as Sirens Wail, Netanyahu Vows Retaliation
Air raid sirens screamed across the nation early Thursday, triggering chaos and fear as citizens scrambled for cover. In Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and as far north as Haifa, explosions echoed across the skyline.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a fierce response, vowing vengeance:
“This morning, Iran’s terrorist tyrants launched missiles at the Soroka Hospital in Beersheba and against innocent civilians across central Israel. We will extract the full price from the tyrants in Tehran.”
His statement, posted on X, echoed growing calls within Israel’s defense establishment for an overwhelming retaliatory strike to reestablish deterrence and punish the Islamic Republic for its blatant violations of international norms.
