After the political efforts accompanied by petitions to the Israeli Supreme Court, and two separate pilot programs within the military involving female tank corp participation, Chief of Staff Aviv Kochavi made a crucial announcement. Kochavi announced on Thursday that the trial period of the service of female tank fighters has successfully ended, and from now on women can be permanently assigned to the armored tank corp.

Four operatives of the “Lion’s Den” terrorist organization, who were all well known to the Israeli security establishment turned themselves into the Palestinian Authority in Nablus. One of the terrorists was Mahmoud Albana, a man considered to be the strategist behind many of the group’s activities.

The recent operations in Nablus were classified as terrorist assassinations and not arrests, a rare mission in the Israel Defense Forces operations in Judea & Samaria. It was very successful, with an impressive intelligence capability by the internal intelligence agency Shin Bet, not only in intelligence gathering but also in cyber operations. On Monday night, Israel Defense Forces were conducting a mission in the Samaria-based city of Nablus and were greeted by gunfire from local terrorists. The IDF destroyed an apartment that was used as a bomb-making laboratory for the "Lion's Den" terrorist group.
