Nablus On The Brink: Has The Palestinian Authority Lost Control In Northern Samaria?

In a clear example of how Northern Samaria is spiraling out of control on the Palestinian Authority's watch, as PA forces were arresting terrorists, armed, terrorist-sympathizing residents turned on them.

In the city of Nablus (biblical Shechem) the Palestinian security forces entered the city to arrest Musab Ashtea, a well-known Hamas operative in the city who is considered a close friend of fellow terrorist Ibrahim al-Nabulsi, the terrorist killed in the city last month. Ashtea was arrested alongside two other wanted terrorists. Violence in Nablus broke out between the security forces and some armed factions, during which roads were blocked and shots were fired.

Woman Born In Palestine 101 Years Ago Becomes Oldest Person To Make Aliyah To Israel

Stella Rokoff was born in 1921 in Jerusalem during the British Mandate for Palestine and immigrated with her family to the United States at the age of five. 96 years later, she decided to return home, to the now State of Israel, with her daughter and son-in-law. Her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren who already live in Israel were waiting for her at the airport.

Construction Failure Blamed For Sinkhole That Brought Tel-Aviv Highway To A Standstill

A large sinkhole was exposed over the weekend in the southbound Ayalon lanes, Tel Aviv’s main inner city highway. The sinkhole was possibly created due to construction work for a new building that will be part of the Azrieli Towers.  Ayalon Routes announced later that they have closed the large sinkhole that opened near the Azrieli Towers, and estimated that the exit to the Shalom Interchange, is expected to open within 48 hours.

The Minister of Defense participated in the annual conference of the Institute for Anti-Terrorism Policy at Reichman University. During his speech, Gantz addressed a number of security issues, including the Iranian threat.

At the beginning of his remarks, Gantz referred to the current security situation, and emphasized that "all the arenas are active and sensitive, something could happen in all of them in the morning or in the afternoon, and this tension must be maintained. The strategic objectives that have been made possible - affect our lives every day."

Germany Inks Deal To Provide Additional 200 Million Shekels To Help Elderly Survivors

The German government concluded that 143,000 Holocaust survivors are entitled to home nursing hours, of which 80,000 survivors living in Israel, will receive an annual grant of 1,200 euros.  The German government and the Claims Conference marked 70 years since the signing of the Luxembourg Agreements, also known as the Reparations Agreements. A decision was made regarding the results of the negotiations on compensation funds for Holocaust survivors for 2023.

Among the main results of the negotiations, emergency aid for Holocaust survivors who fled Ukraine was agreed upon in the amount of 12 million dollars. In addition, starting from January 2023, the budget for home nursing hours for Holocaust survivors who depend on these services around the world will increase by 130 million euros, and from this amount, 60 million euros will be invested to increase the Israeli budget for home assistance services.
