In his lengthy report touching many topics released earlier this week, including one reported earlier today about the danger Israel's aging infrastructure poses, Israeli ombudsman Metanyahu Englman slammed the Israeli government for its failed COVID vaccine development program and recommended that the way health emergencies are dealt with be completely reevaluated. Almost a billion and a half NIS were invested in the development of the Israeli vaccine against COVID, which was named “BriLife”.

The Israeli Ombudsman, Matanyahu Englman, published a new report on Tuesday dealing with the readiness of the State of Israel for future severe earthquakes, and the data that emerges from it is disturbing. Based on his conclusions of the report, it appears that there has been a long-standing failure in the preparation of the state and all the professional authorities for earthquakes, and in particular in northern peripheral cities located near and along The Syrian-African rift; cities like Beit She'an, Tiberias, Safed, Hazor HaGalilit and Kiryat Shemona.

Early Monday, Israel released an 83-year-old Fatah official, Fuad Shubaki, the oldest of the security prisoners in Israeli prison, after spending 17 years behind bars. Shubaki served as the head of the finance department of the General Security Mechanism in the Palestinian Authority as well as As the financier of the former chairman of the Authority, Yasser Arafat, who somehow died with over eight billion dollars in his bank.

Early Sunday morning, a vehicle with four Palestinian terrorists drove towards an Israel Defense Forces military post at the Git junction in Northern Samaria, just West of Nablus, with the intention of killing Israeli soldiers. The soldiers seemed well prepared for the attack.

Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gvir and Police Commissioner Senior Superintendent Yaakov (Kobi) Shabtai issued a statement Thursday evening, according to which Superintendent Amichai Eshed, commander of the Tel Aviv district, was immediately removed from his position and will move to a staff position as head of the training department. However, immediately after the announced change, Eshed was asked to command the investigation of the Dizengoff terror attack and the Attorney General said the punitive removal of Eshed by Ben Gvir was illegal.
