The Israel Defense Forces Jordan Valley Brigade commander, Colonel Meir Biederman, reported on the operation to locate and arrest the terrorists who carried out the attack in which American Elan Ganeles, was killed "We succeeded to close the circle on the perpetrators of the attack within 48 hours," Biederman said.

A number of other terrorist activities took place in Israel on Monday and went largely unreported, thankfully no serious injuries were recorded. The first was a shooting attack on an Israeli vehicle between the settlements of Tufuh and Magaled in Samaria. After an inspection, four gunshot wounds were identified in the vehicle. A couple of parents and their three children were present in the vehicle, with the exception of a few bruises, the entire family was untouched by the violent attack.

Major General (ret.) Tamir Hyman, former head of the IDF’s Intelligence Corps, spoke Tuesday morning on the Israeli 103FM radio station, and referred to the tense security situation, after the severe attacks that took place in the last few days, in which three Israelis were murdered. Himan said the current generation of Palestinian youth are far more violent than their predecessors.

Hundreds of demonstrators protested on Monday at the Bima square in Tel Aviv following the riots in Hawara. The protesters used the slogan "The settler government is setting the country on fire." Also, the demonstrators protested against judicial reform and occupation. Most notably, the protesters did not mention the killing of the two brothers in Huwara at point-blank gunfire by Palestinian militants that happened just the night before.

Monday saw the security situation in Israel continue to spiral as Palestinian terror attacks against Israelis continued and in an unexpected and alarming turn, an extremist Israeli turned on Israel Defense Forces soldiers.
