The head of the far-left party Meretz, Zehava Gal-On, was a guest at an event in Petah Tikva on Saturday. She spoke about the recent security tensions and said that "the Minister of Defense needs to restrain and moderate the Israel Defense Forces soldiers.ā
"There is a crazy increase in the number of Palestinians killed. I think there is such a loosening in certain military policies, especially in the instructions to open fire," Gal-On added.

Defense Minister Benny Gantz on Wednesday commented on Twitter after a speech was delivered by Knesset member Ofer Cassif, who claimed during the launch party of primarily Arab-Israeli Hadash-Ta'al party, that Palestinians killed in military operations were "executed".

Amid the ongoing campaigning and preparations of the Likud party for the elections, a group of local Likud branch personnel demanded Monday night that the Likud appoint Knesset member Israel Katz to manage the election headquarters. This major shift in favorability comes just after the activists complained about the mismanagement and the neglect of the local Likud branches that are spread all throughout Israel.
