Sergeant Or Israelov, 19 years old from Bat Yam, an infantry Israel Defense Forces soldier training to be a member of the paratrooper brigade, was killed early Tuesday morning by friendly fire during a drill at a military base in southern Israel. His cousin Moshe Zahavi spoke with reporters and said: "He had big plans, he also thought about becoming a commander, full of dreams and ambitions. Everything was cut off in seconds." Or's mother, who had a hard time speaking with the reporters simply said: "They took my child."

Israel's ambassador to the United Nations, Gilad Erdan, revealed photos of the tents identified by the IDF on the Israeli side of the border with Lebanon at Mount Dov, as part of a letter of complaint to the UN Security Council. Erdan made it clear that Israel will act with force if the Security Council does not demand that Lebanon remove them. This comes as some local lawmakers are planning their own innovative approach to ensure the security of the area.

Dozens of right-wing activists protested this Tuesday evening at two locations, Huwara, and the Tapuah Junction intersection, after the terrorist attack near Eli that killed four Israelis. About twenty extremist right-wing activists arrived in Huwara and threw stones at the local residents. Four Palestinians were injured. Later they set fire to a Palestinian vehicle and tried to set fire to a Palestinian house. Israeli security forces were seen dispersing the Israeli rioters using live ammunition. In the footage that was distributed, an IDF soldier is seen firing from his personal weapon live rounds to disperse a demonstration of Jews who came out to protest after the murderous attack.

While terrorism is increasing in Judea and Samaria, the Netanyahu government has approved a significant economic benefit to the Palestinian Authority in the form of an Israeli permit to develop the gas field located in the Mediterranean Sea opposite the Gaza Strip. The Vatican and the leadership of the Catholic Church in Israel are concerned about the tensions that have arisen between the worshipers of the Carmelite Stella Maris Monastery in Haifa and a handful of Breslov Hassidic Jews who began to pray near the monastery. The issue came to a peak when an Arab Christian worshiper allegedly attacked the worshipers. Following the altercation, the 53-year-old Arab resident of Haifa was arrested on Thursday on suspicion of having attacked a Breslov worshiper. After a preliminary investigation, the resident was released under 'restrictive conditions' which implies anything from a foreign travel ban to home confinement with electronic monitoring.
