Out of all of Israel’s direct and indirect neighbors in the Middle East, there is one whose history is quite different; so different that it begs the question of how on Earth has it not normalized relations with Israel yet. Lebanon, built on top of the ancient Kingdom of Phoenicia, with the ‘Paris of the Middle East’ as its capital, is one of the most culturally diverse nations in the entire region, perhaps even the world. However, due to decades of foreign, and often hostile political and militant interference, the charm of Lebanon has been taken hostage.

A new, quite peculiar, protest movement has been developing in the State of Israel, and this time it is not directly targeting the government, but rather archaeology. This new protest, which has been largely manifested and driven by staunchly liberal, anti-coalition Hebrew and English publications in Israel, claims a violent right-wing politicization of the Israeli industry of ‘the Study of new things’ and adds that excavations within Jerusalem, Judea & Samaria are being used to justify the “Zionist occupation.” These voices against archaeology in Israel are calling for an end to certain excavation projects currently taking place in the region which have been financed by the Israeli government.

The peace or ‘normalization’ agreements signed by Israel with different Arab countries can easily be split into two categories; the countries that did so as part of the Abraham Accords and those who signed separate agreements back in the 20th century, Egypt and Jordan to be specific. While all the accords signed between Israel and its neighbors rely heavily on joint regional economic understandings more than anything, it seems the older accords with Egypt and the Hashemite kingdom are lacking in the prized Arab hospitality, or really any common decency that is typical between allies. The UAE, Bahrain, Morocco, and even the Saudi government which has yet to sign any normalization deal have been going to great lengths to stem Jew and Zionist hatred within their populations, and meanwhile, Egyptian and Jordanian officials still address their people as if they’re at war with the State of Israel.

Why Do American Liberals Ignore Palestine's Gun Control Problem?

While the majority of Israel’s allies would like to see a Palestinian State established within the West Bank and East Jerusalem, few seem to have any preference for the internal Palestinian policies that would exist within such a state. Since the global ‘Free Palestine’ movement is largely based on liberal activists, the overlooking, or perhaps ignorance, of Palestinian internal affairs often is extremely hypocritical. For example, it would be completely normal for an American gun-control activist to be spotted at a pro-Palestine demonstration; despite the extremely irresponsible gun culture in the Palestinian territories.

As Operation “Shield and Arrow” ends, and both Israelis and Gazans are supposed to trust their local governments and terrorist organizations that it is indeed safe to return to normal, a number of strategic and geo-political conclusions should be noted along with their possible results. There is one thing that all observations have in common, and that is Netanyahu’s direct involvement and attempt to remodel his glorified, idealistic, Status Quo.

The Judean is a digital media platform committed to exposing the truth about Israel and confronting the global wave of anti-Zionist disinformation. Through powerful editorials, featured articles, and historical investigations, we bring clarity to Israel’s story — its ancient Jewish roots, modern democratic values, and ongoing struggle for truth in the media battlefield. At a time when propaganda threatens to rewrite history and vilify Jewish self-determination, The Judean stands as a proud voice of resistance. We exist not to appease, but to assert: Israel is the ancestral homeland of the Jewish people — and that truth is non-negotiable.
