In addition, the Italian ambassador Sergio Brabanti, the consul general of Sweden Julius Leistorm, the actors and creators Shlomi Elkebats, Maor Zagori, and many others participated in the opening event.

During the opening ceremony, which was also attended by President Yitzhak Herzog and his wife Michal and Minister of Culture and Sports Hili Troper, the president's wife said that "Cinema has the power to take us out of our everyday lives or to make our stay within the veins of the soul. The festival will take place until the end of July and is expected to host thousands of spectators from Israel and worldwide.
