Between Tuesday and Wednesday, Israeli security forces carried out a series of operations in the Palestinian cities of Qalqilya, Tubas, and Nablus, as well as in the villages of Beit Deko, Beit Omer, Shiu', and the Daheisha refugee camp. These operations resulted in the arrest of thirteen individuals for various crimes related to terrorism targeting Jewish communities. Additionally, the Israeli forces seized six weapons and four lathes used in the production of makeshift pistols and semi-automatic firearms.

In Qalqilya, during the IDF operation, Palestinian suspects opened fire on the troops, pelted them with stones, and even hurled an explosive device. In response, the Israeli forces took measures to disperse the demonstrations and maintain order. Similar incidents occurred in Beit Deko and Nablus, where suspects threw stones at the troops, prompting a measured response. In Tubas, the security forces located and confiscated three weapons, and gunshots were reported in the vicinity.

The village of Beit Omer saw the forces discover and seize two makeshift weapons. During the operations in the Daheisha refugee camp and Shiu', suspects threw stones at the security forces, resulting in minor damage to a military vehicle.

In a separate part of Tuesday's operation aimed at confiscating weapons in Hebron, Israeli forces apprehended two individuals who were wanted by authorities. During this operation, ammunition, M16 weapon parts, a hunting rifle, and four lathes used for weapon production were found and confiscated. The arrested individuals and the seized weapons were subsequently handed over to security forces for further processing. Importantly, no casualties were reported among IDF forces during these operations.

This recent operation on Tuesday follows closely on the heels of an incident just prior to the Yom Kippur fast, in which the IDF and Shin Bet apprehended eight Palestinian men at Birzeit University. These individuals were suspected of planning an imminent attack. The arrests came as the culmination of months of intelligence and investigative efforts by security forces to thwart the activities of terrorist cells, particularly those involving students in the Hamas-affiliated group known as "Hakatlah Islamia," operating within Palestinian universities in Judea and Samaria.

"This is yet another example of how the terrorist organization Hamas exploits legitimate institutions to facilitate its terrorist activities and shield its operatives," stated the IDF in an official statement following the arrests at Birzeit University. Additionally, four other wanted individuals were apprehended in the village of Khirbat Karma.
