In an alarming escalation, more than 30 rockets were fired from Lebanon, wreaking havoc across Kiryat Shmona and its surrounding areas. One rocket scored a direct hit on a residential building, causing catastrophic damage to the structure and endangering the lives of its inhabitants.

A 65-year-old man was critically wounded by flying shrapnel in the heart of Kiryat Shmona. Emergency medical personnel provided lifesaving treatments at the scene, as he lay amidst the chaos, struggling to maintain consciousness. In a stroke of cruel fate, a Magen David Adom intensive care van, dispatched to aid the injured, was also struck by shrapnel.

The relentless rocket fire triggered alarms far from Kiryat Shmona signaling a new level of threat. Police units scrambled to multiple impact sites near Kiryat Shmona, confronting extensive property damage, though miraculously, no further casualties were reported at this time.

The situation remains dire as police and detectives from the North District cordon off the devastated areas, diligently searching for additional debris to avert any additional threats to public safety.

In a robust response, Israeli fighter jets launched precision strikes against Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon overnight. The targets included a significant military complex and an observation post, crucial to Hezbollah's operations. These precision strikes were in retaliation to Hezbollah's aggression, aimed at military installations in northern Israel.

IDF artillery units also responded decisively, neutralizing threats in strategic locales within Lebanon, despite Lebanon's claims of civilian casualties, which included three fatalities and several injuries, as reported by Lebanon's state-run National News Agency.

Hezbollah's unwavering stance remains clear: it vows to continue its assaults on Israel until a ceasefire in Gaza is achieved. This conflict has already claimed the lives of nearly 400 individuals in Lebanon, including over 70 civilians, and has led to extensive displacement on both sides of the border.

As tensions continue to soar, an errant missile launched earlier today from the Upper Galilee was detected falling within Lebanese territory, further intensifying the fraught atmosphere across the volatile border.
