An IDF Strike on June 25th that took out Hamas terrorists (video snippet)

The Israeli military forces have successfully eliminated Wassam Abu Eshaq, a Hamas terrorist who specialized in smuggling ammunition and explosives into Gaza. This operation was executed by an IAF aircraft under intelligence guidance on Tuesday in southern Gaza.

The IDF stated that Wassam Abu Eshaq had directed smuggling operations through the Rafah Crossing and underground tunnels over the past few years. Overnight, the IAF targeted and struck a launch site in Rafah containing ready-to-fire rockets, along with dozens of other terror targets, including military structures, terrorist cells, and underground tunnel shafts.

The IDF specifically targeted Hamas terrorists involved in the October 7 onslaught and those holding hostages in separate overnight airstrikes in Gaza City. Fighter jets struck two buildings in Gaza City’s Shati camp and Daraj neighborhood, used by Hamas operatives. These operations were conducted with precision munitions and extensive aerial surveillance to minimize civilian casualties. One of the targeted schools was under UNRWA management.

The IDF emphasized that Hamas consistently violates international law by using civilian structures and populations as human shields for its terrorist activities. In another incident, a suspected Israeli airstrike killed the sister of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh and nine other members of their extended family in Gaza City’s Shati camp. Haniyeh, who resides in exile in Doha, Qatar, has previously lost other family members in Israeli strikes.

Additionally, the IDF announced a strike on a building at Gaza City’s Islamic University, where Hamas operatives were reportedly gathered. This building was allegedly used for launching anti-tank missiles, observing Israeli troops, and planning attacks. The IDF took several measures to mitigate civilian harm, including aerial surveillance, before the airstrike.

Further strikes were carried out on buildings in northern Gaza near a rocket launching site used by the Palestinian Islamic Jihad in an attack on southern Israel, along with weapon depots and operative cells in central Gaza.
