Israel's former head of the National Security Staff and head of the research division Military Intelligence Directorate Major General (retired) Yakov Amidror, was interviewed on Israeli radio about the current security threats Israel is facing and who may join forces in defending the Zionist state. To the surprise of many, Amidror said: "America is not the same America in terms of its willingness, the Iranians see that. The US has many other problems and complexity than the Middle East. The world now looks at Israel differently."

"Iran is more confident in itself, it managed to produce several agreements with Arab countries, and the world is starting to look different. Out of all this, the chances of deterioration are greater. We need to prepare for war, we may reach a point where we will have to attack Iran even without American aid," Amidror added.

The former head of the Israel Defense Forces operations division, Major General (Retired) Israel Ziv was also on the radio show and added that "the fact that a volcano is not erupting does not mean that there is no boiling lava inside, and there is clearly an intense Iranian push in a way that we have not known in recent years to promote riots and escalation actions as a result of or against the background of riots on the Temple Mount. Their narrative is to promote escalation against Israel. Tomorrow [Friday] is Jerusalem Day in Iran, and it is certainly a very appropriate time for them to expand the escalation beyond the Temple Mount."

"They did political land preparation, with other Arab countries and a number of Islamic countries whose consent we have received due to the dire situation on the Temple Mount and the ‘Zionist occupation’. We are on a very slippery slope, I think the government's decision was very responsible to prevent the ascension of the Jews to the Temple Mount, so even if there is a seclusion on the Mount This house does not require the police to break in, yet the situation is still very tense," Ziv emphasized.

Later, Ziv referred to the firing of rockets from the northern border towards the State of Israel during Passover: "This is Iranian staging at its best. This is how they work. They create a kind of circular front or close around through Lebanon, and Syria, it is very important for them to influence Jordan as well. They are in Sinai, they are with a very central influence on Hamas and the Jihad in Gaza, and furthermore, you even hear from the Houthis suddenly threatening Israel,  as if Israeli really bothers them when they get up in the morning in Yemen.

As the interviews and show concluded,  Amidror finished on a positive note for Israel’s security and said “I would not worry about war just yet because Hezbollah is in a very delicate situation in Lebanon. The country is in economic disintegration, there is a threshold of starvation in certain places."
