2021 Bahrain International Air Show Display

In a sign that the world is changing rapidly, this coming November, the Bahrain International Air Show (BIAS) which is one of the most prominent and important international exhibitions in the world in the field of aerospace, will feature participation from the Jewish State.

The exhibition will be led by the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Bahrain under the auspices of the King of Bahrain, Hemed bin Issa al Khalifa.

Israeli companies will be participating during the exhibition after an exclusive cooperation agreement was signed with the Avnon group which produces the ISDEF conference, as well as international security exhibitions in the fields of cyber, security, and homeland security in Israel and abroad. Israeli security and Israel's most innovative technological developments in the field will be some of the technology the Israeli team will present.

The pavilion will cover an area of more than 500 square meters and will display the best technologies and innovations that Israeli companies have to offer alongside live demonstrations.

The establishment of an official Israeli pavilion at the exhibition, with an investment of millions of shekels, is an important step for Israel in the context of normalizing relations with the Arab world and the broader Muslim world. This major step is being hailed as an extraordinary opportunity for the Israeli aviation industry.

In addition to Avnon, industry heavyweights like Airbus, Boeing, US Gulf Stream, British BA Systems, Lockheed Martin Corporation, Italian Leonarda, Rolls Royce, French Thales, Bell Helicopter and CFM International will all be participating. This places Israel amongst the global leaders in aerospace and on equal footing. Combined, the massive event will host roughly 80% of the global market’s industry. Many of the companies will be showcasing their products, Transportation and Telecommunications Minister Kamal Ahmed, who is also the Deputy Chairman of the Bahrain International Air Show organizing committee, said yesterday.

The BIAS 2022 will attract some regional rising stars like Gulf Air, Etihad, Saudi Airlines, Emirates, Arabiya Air, Al Salam Air, Aramco, Oxford Aviation, DHL, FedEx, and the United Arab Emirates Space Agency.

Altogether the event will include 130 civil and military aircraft, not to mention flying vehicles, which have become more sophisticated in recent years.
