Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi hosted the Secretary General of the Islamic Jihad Movement, Ziyad Nakhala, and promised: "Iran will always stand by the Palestinian people, and will support their just cause, which is the goal of all Muslims." The Islamic Jihad delegation, headed by Nakhala also met with the Iranian Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir Abdullahian.

Just last Wednesday the supreme leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ali Khamenei, emphasized during his meeting with Nakhala and the delegation that accompanied him, that the increasing strength of the Palestinian resistance movements in Gaza and the West Bank is "the main key to fighting and subduing the Israeli occupation."

During the meeting, Khamenei added: "The credibility of the Palestinian resistance factions and the Islamic Jihad is increasing day by day, something that was confirmed through the recent defeat of the 'Israeli occupation' in the last battle for Gaza", which indicates the "need to continue this line", according to him. Thus, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdullahian met over the weekend with Saudi Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal Bin Farhan, when the latter emphasized in a press conference with his counterpart "the importance of security cooperation between the two countries to ensure that the region is free of nuclear weapons."

News of the Iranian and Palestinian Jihadist statements come after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu commented on reports that the United States and Iran are close to reaching limited agreements regarding the Iranian nuclear program, and said that "we have made it clear to our American friends that more limited agreements are also not acceptable to us. We are determined to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons," he said during a visit to the Israel Aerospace industry with.

In regards to the seemingly renewed diplomatic relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia, Israel’s Foreign Minister Eli Cohen said: "The foreign minister of Saudi Arabia said that it is necessary to prevent 'the region' from obtaining nuclear weapons, it is clear who he meant, Iran. It's all a show, it's all a game, and the biggest threat to Saudi Arabia is Iran, after all, who attacked it just three years ago?"

The minister also stated that he believes that a peace agreement can be reached between Israel and Saudi Arabia: "There are a lot of common interests here. First, regional stability. Second, preventing Iran from obtaining a nuclear connection, as well as very significant economic interests. When Lapid and Bennett were in power, no one spoke of normalization, peace agreements, or the expansion of Abraham's agreements."
