The Prime Minister's Office made a significant announcement on Wednesday evening, revealing a successful joint operation between Brazilian security agencies, the Mossad, and various Israeli security partners, along with international agencies. This operation thwarted a potentially devastating attack in Brazil, orchestrated by the terrorist organization Hezbollah and backed by the Iranian regime.

The Mossad expressed its gratitude towards Brazilian security forces for their decisive action in apprehending a terrorist cell operating on behalf of Hezbollah. The cell had sinister plans to carry out an attack targeting Israeli and Jewish interests within Brazil. This incident sheds light on the ongoing global activities of Hezbollah and the Iranian regime, especially in the wake of the conflict in Gaza against another terrorist organization, Hamas.

Hezbollah has been aggressively pursuing its agenda on a global scale, aiming to influence conflicts worldwide, with a particular focus on Israel's northern border. As tensions escalate in the northern sector, terrorists recently launched an anti-tank missile at Israeli forces in the Mount Dov area. This attack resulted in injuries to two IDF soldiers, who were promptly evacuated for medical treatment.

In response to this security threat, the IDF remains vigilant in safeguarding Israeli citizens. Just hours before the announcement, Israeli forces initiated artillery strikes on Hezbollah's positions along the Lebanese border. Fighter jets also targeted Hezbollah's military infrastructure in Lebanon in retaliation for recent rocket launches towards Israeli territory.

The airstrikes hit military installations and positions used by Hezbollah operatives, as well as the technological resources employed by the organization to support acts of terrorism against Israel. Simultaneously, IDF units engaged a terrorist cell operating near the Birnit area, within Lebanese territory.

Moreover, the region experienced a surge in rocket launches from Lebanese territory towards northern Israeli settlements, prompting alarm sirens in Upper Galilee and near the Hermon mountain. Villages along the conflict line, including Dafna, Shaar Yishuv, Dan, and Snir, were also affected. In response, the IDF swiftly targeted the sources of these launches with artillery fire.

On a night prior to the announcement, the IDF had conducted strikes on Hezbollah targets in Lebanon, including Amlah warehouses. The aftermath of one such strike was documented, revealing a massive explosion at the target site. These operations also focused on launch sites, infrastructure supporting terrorism, and locations housing Hezbollah's technological capabilities.

This recent collaborative effort between Brazil, Israel, and international agencies underscores the persistent global threat posed by Hezbollah and its Iranian backers.
