It is rumored that Nasrallah was admitted to the ICU today.

Social media posts from inside Lebanon are saying that Iran's man in Lebanon, Hassan Nasrallah has been placed in the Intensive Care Unit of a Beirut area hospital.

The Secretary-General of Hezbollah had canceled a speech he was supposed to give on Friday. The late change of plans once again raised suspicions about his medical condition. The terrorist organization announced the cancellation of the planned speech on the grounds of personal "health reasons". On Sunday morning, it was reported yet again in Lebanese newspapers that his medical condition had deteriorated.

Hezbollah's media relations office released a statement on Friday saying "Hassan Nasrallah contracted the flu, so his speech was canceled, as his illness prevents him from speaking in the normal and natural way."

In a statement, published by the Lebanese Al-Manar channel affiliated with Hezbollah, it was reported that Nasrallah is scheduled to deliver a speech next Tuesday, on the occasion of the annual memorial for the death of Qasem Soleimani, the former commander of the Quds Force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, and Abu Mahdi Al-Mohandes, who was the deputy head of forces The Iraqi Popular Mobilization - Al-Hashd Al-Shaabi. Soleimani and Al-Mohandes were killed in a US drone strike near the airport of the Iraqi capital, on January 3 of 2020.

Hezbollah's statement about Nasrallah's flu illness was intended to stop the rumors spreading about the medical condition of the Lebanese terrorist organization's secretary general, but it seems that goal was not achieved and actually had the opposite effect. According to a CBS report that included statements from Lebanese sources, several days ago Nasrallah was rushed to Al-Rasoul al-Azzam hospital, in the southern suburbs of Beirut, after suffering a stroke. The news has not been verified by other sources.

It should be noted that this is not the first time that rumors have spread about Nasrallah's deteriorating medical condition. In May of 2021, Lebanese news websites reported on the deterioration of Nasrallah's health, and some even claimed that he had entered a coma before Hezbollah officials quickly denied these reports.

In the same month, Nasrallah appeared in a speech commemorating the anniversary of the liberation of South Lebanon from Israel where he apologized to an audience of his followers for his absence due to a health problem that caused him to constantly cough, which made it difficult to appear on the screen.

Verification of Nasrallah's illness could come this Tuesday. If Nasrallah does not appear or give a speech at the memorial ceremony of Qasem Soleimani, it will be seen as concrete evidence of Nasrallah’s infirm condition.
