As part of the preparations for the future, the Ministry of Defense is promoting a huge deal with the Americans that will upgrade the capabilities of the Israeli Air Force. At the end of last week, an Israeli request of the United States for the purchase of 25 advanced fighter jets of the F-15 EX model was reported. Among other things, fighter jets can be equipped with all the offensive and defensive weapons that are compatible with the current Air Force technology.
Additionally, the fighter jets will be able to be equipped with the future laser systems that are currently being developed by the Israeli defense industries together with the Israel Defense Forces and the United States. Even though the deal is tied to the possibility of an Israeli attack on Iran, it is not the main component for any future attack. Based on past deals, from the moment such a letter and a connection are made between countries to the physical landing of the first plane, could take anywhere between 8-12 years.

This means that these are not fighter jets for the specific mission Netanyahu seems to be planning out, since Israel cannot afford to see the Iranian threat as one that remains on the table for such a long period of time. Nonetheless, it should be noted that the transaction and the arrival of fighter jets will upgrade the IDF Airforce capabilities and allow for the separation of combat aircraft of the same type, which will soon be decommissioned due to their age and mileage.
The request of the Ministry of Defense of inline with the current American budget for Israeli military aid, which has been in limbo in recent years due to the election campaigns, and now the Ministry of Defense hopes that a stable government will lead to the completion of the deal and promotion for the purchase of the planes.

The aircraft, manufactured by Boeing, will join the fleet of aircraft that the Israeli Air Force already owns from Boeing and Lockheed Martin and has modified, equipping them with Israeli technology. This fleet of aircraft modified by the IDF is considered one of the most advanced in the world due to its phenomenal flight capabilities, sharp and fast attack capacity, and ability to carry many armaments and classified weapon systems.
