In the latest updates from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), a solemn announcement was made early Sunday morning revealing the loss of two Israeli soldiers in separate battles in the Gaza Strip. Master Sergeant (Reserve) Joseph Avner Doran, 26, from Jerusalem, was killed in the northern part of Gaza, while Sergeant Major (Reserve) Shalev Zaltsman, 24, from Ramat Yishai, tragically lost his life in the southern region of the Strip. These incidents underscore the ongoing risks and sacrifices faced by the IDF in the region.

Additionally, four other IDF soldiers were seriously injured in these confrontations. The battles in both the northern and southern Gaza Strip saw intense fighting, resulting in serious injuries to a reserve fighter in the north and to an officer and three other reserve fighters in the south.

Two more soldiers have fallen in battle.

In a significant display of military strength and strategy, the IDF successfully targeted approximately 200 sites within the last day. This includes a notable operation by paratroopers in the Shijaiyah neighborhood, where they uncovered and seized a cache of weapons, explosives, stun guns, grenades, and a tunnel shaft exceeding 15 meters in length. This tunnel was promptly targeted and destroyed by an IDF aircraft, guided by the brigade's fighters.

A particularly alarming discovery was made by IDF soldiers from the Nahal Brigade in the Jabalia area. They uncovered a tunnel entrance ingeniously concealed within a child's bedroom. This tunnel, originating from the building's basement and equipped with built-in stairs, led directly into the room, alarmingly close to a baby's crib. The meticulous construction of this tunnel and its strategic placement highlight the persistent and evolving military threats posed by such structures. The IDF took immediate action to demolish this tunnel, thereby neutralizing a significant danger. Since the conflict's onset, over 800 tunnel shafts have been detected in Gaza, with more than half already destroyed.

In a crucial advisory, IDF Spokesman in Arabic, Lt. Col. Avichay Adraee, issued a warning to the residents of the Gaza Strip, particularly those in the Khan Younis area. He urged civilians to evacuate areas of active combat as swiftly as possible. He emphasized that the IDF's robust operations against Hamas and other terrorist organizations in Gaza, particularly in the Khan Younis region, have rendered movement along some sections of the Salah al-Din axis unsafe. However, he noted that the IDF would facilitate movement through a western axis.

Meanwhile, on the Northern Front, an anti-aircraft missile struck The Auditorium, a performance and cultural hall in Kibbutz Sasa in the Upper Galilee, causing considerable damage but thankfully no casualties. This attack, along with barrages of anti-tank missiles fired by Hezbollah at various IDF checkpoints and posts along the Lebanese border, marks a significant escalation. In a decisive response, IDF forces launched attacks on Hezbollah terrorism infrastructures within Lebanese territory. These actions were specifically in retaliation to the missile launches targeting the village of Arab al-Aramsha and Kibbutz Sasa in the Upper Galilee. The IDF's counterattacks focused on the sources of the rocket fire, employing artillery. Reports also indicated that some of the launches did not cross into Israeli territory.

Adding to the regional tensions, Hezbollah's TV channel Al-Manar reported that Israel had initiated attacks on the towns of Taybeh and Lida in southern Lebanon, further intensifying the situation along the Israeli-Lebanese border.
