In a concerning incident that unfolded in Jerusalem, a 64-year-old man fell victim to a stabbing attack while waiting at a bus stop in the Neve Yaakov neighborhood, located in the northern part of the city.

The victim, whose injuries were initially assessed as ranging from light to moderate, was promptly attended to and transported to Hadassah Har HaTsofim Hospital by the Magen David Adom ambulance service. There, he was admitted to the trauma unit, remained conscious, and was reported to be in stable condition following the assault. Medical personnel are currently conducting diagnostic imaging to further evaluate his condition.

The assailant, a 14-year-old resident of the predominantly Palestinian eastern section of Jerusalem, was arrested after a brief police chase. The Jerusalem District Police, under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Doron Turgeman, played a pivotal role in the apprehension of the young attacker and the recovery of the weapon used in the crime.
