Israeli military forces executed precision strikes on a Hezbollah military base situated in the Meiss El Jabal region of southern Lebanon, as confirmed by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on Monday. Intelligence had pinpointed the presence of terrorists within the compound, leading to the targeted operation.
Concurrently, in a separate incident, northern Israel became the target of 15 rocket launches from Lebanese territory. These rockets, thankfully, landed in uninhabited areas, averting civilian casualties and injuries.

In a related development, Hezbollah disclosed the loss of one of its operatives, Muhammad al-Zein, who was killed in what the organization refers to as "the road to Jerusalem"โa euphemism for operatives lost to Israeli military actions. Al-Zein hailed from Chehour, a town in southern Lebanon. His death elevates the number of Hezbollah casualties to 247 since the onset of hostilities in the Gaza Strip.
These incidents follow a series of IDF operations targeting Hezbollah positions in recent days, amidst escalating tensions in the region. Notably, Hezbollah had asserted responsibility for an assault on Israeli forces near Kiryat Shemona, a northern Israeli locale. This attack, reportedly occurring without resulting in Israeli casualties or property damage, came in the aftermath of an IDF operation in the Beqaa Valley's Baalbek area, close to the Syrian frontier.

During the Baalbek operation, a suspected Syrian Hezbollah symapthizer identified as Mahmud Rahb, lost his life, and three others were wounded when their vehicle was struck. Hezbollah has since claimed an attack on IDF soldiers stationed near the southwestern border of Kiryat Shmona in the Galilee panhandle, asserting the occurrence took place in the early hours of the morning.

However, Israeli reports have yet to confirm an attack on their troops or missile launches in the vicinity of the border, casting doubt on Hezbollah's claims. This skepticism is grounded in the organization's historical tendency to exaggerate its military achievements, particularly against the backdrop of its backing by Iran and ongoing hostilities in the region.
