The statement issued by the 'Galilee Forces" - (Source: Telegram)

An organization called "The Galilee Forces Lone Wolves" has released a new video in which it threatens the lives of senior Israeli officials, including President Yitzhak Herzog, former Chief of Staff Aviv Kochavi, and former Shin Bet chief Yuval Diskin. The threats were announced Saturday on the TV channel of Hezbollah "Al-Manar".

At the beginning of the video, illustrated with flames in the background, the caption "The time has come to die" appeared, followed immediately by a picture of President Herzog, a picture of Kochavi, and Diskin. A few seconds later, it was written that "the silencer is waiting for you" when the meaning is perhaps a silenced gun,  and at the end, it says "the wolf is coming".

At the same time, an organization stated that "We publicly announce our presence as commando cells inside and outside of Palestine, declaring the general mobilization and our willingness to carry out the task of eliminating the brutal occupation and eliminating its leaders. We stand in line with all the organizations, battalions, and commando companies that believe in the armed struggle for the liberation of Palestine".

The statement continued: "The group will return to the operations of explosive devices and the use of explosive (suicide) belts." The organization, which is unknown to most Israelis, was established at the beginning of the civil war in Syria by the regime of President Assad when Tehran and Hezbollah assisted in its establishment.

Last week, the organization took responsibility for the bombing attack in Megiddo and stated that "We assure our dear Palestinian people and all free people in the world the safety of the hero who carried out the operation and that he is in a safe place, we keep a record of the operation. We undertake to emphasize the unity of the people with all factions who believe in the armed struggle." It is unclear what the organization meant by claiming the perpetrator of the attack was safe, as Israeli elite forces killed him as he was strapped with an explosive to his chest by the Lebanese border.

The explosion on Route 65 near the Megiddo junction, which is not particularly close to the northern border, has raised quite a few questions. For example, why was he not closer to the border or at a point where there were many civilians or soldiers? Did he have help infiltrating into Israeli territory? Who gave him the large amount of equipment he had and gave him the knowledge to orient himself in Israeli territory?

At this stage there are no suspects believed to have assisted the terrorist in Israeli territory, and this in itslef is a signal that this is a lone-wolf operation by someone who was professionally trained in covert operations. The choice to move more than 70 kilometers from the border to the Megiddo junction is a move that has no logical explanation, except perhaps an attempt to glorify intellectual achievement by saying that he was able to strike far into Israel, targeting an area that is more known for pilgrims and other tourists interested in the local where the Battle Of Armageddon is said to take place.
