An Elbit Defense Systems display at a UAE convention (Elbit)

The month of July is becoming one of the strongest months for the Israeli Defense technology company, Elbit Systems. On Tuesday of this week, the company received a contract to supply rockets and rocket launchers in a deal worth $150 million and this comes only 10 days after the company received another contract from an Asian country worth $115 million. July has therefore become one of the biggest months for Elbit and its international sales division.

It should be noted that since Russia invaded Ukraine in February of 2022, the entire geopolitical setup in the world has changed, with many European countries seeking to arm themselves with defensive capabilities. This news, while concerning for many, has been quite promising for Elbit Systems, which focuses on military equipment with defensive mechanisms.

One of the two July deals signed by Elbit Systems', involved the PULS (Precise and Universal Launching System) rocket launchers and a package of long-term precision rockets to an international customer which cannot be disclosed. The contract will be in place for over three years. Elbit Systems' PULS launcher provides a comprehensive and efficient solution that supports the launch of unguided rockets, precision-guided munitions, and missiles with an effective range of up to 300 km.

The PULS can support next-generation technologies, such as the launch of roving munitions, including Elbit Systems' "Sherkrak" launched from a cane case. The PULS launcher is fully adaptable to wheeled platforms, allowing for substantial reductions in maintenance and training costs.

Yehuda Vered, CEO of Elbit Land Systems said in response to the success his division has seen in July thus far: "We see a growing demand for our advanced artillery solutions, from armies seeking to increase the effectiveness of their forces. This contract is another vote of confidence in Elbit Systems' PULS artillery rocket solutions.”

In addition to the defensive missile deals signed, Elbit has most recently been helping Argentina upgrade its tanks and Armored Corps division. "We started with minimal cooperation and now we are not only going to work on the modernization of all planned tanks, but also on the production of spare parts for the TAM and the electronic updating of its parts. This is thanks to the political decision to promote a competitive production model and the commitment of Minister Massa, who is betting that Argentina will once again have a defense industry”, Elbit said in their official statement.
