Amazon Global has embarked on a groundbreaking collaboration with Shachakim College, an institution dedicated to imparting technological and cyber education to young minds. This partnership is set to create a project that will offer training opportunities to exceptional students hailing from the periphery regions of Israel. The initiative, known as the "Amazon AWS CloudRoom" program, aims to empower 5th-6th grade students from schools in Beit Shemesh, Tanuvot, Shoham, and Emek Hefer by teaching them coding skills within the framework of Amazon's state-of-the-art data centers.
Within the scope of this program, gifted and high-achieving students will not only gain proficiency in Amazon's AWS cloud technology but also delve into the intricacies of programming and cloud architecture. Moreover, these students will have the unique opportunity to engage with industry professionals, serving as inspirational role models and encouraging them to pursue higher education in this field.

Shachakim College, a renowned institution specializing in technology and cyber education for teenagers, operates across 70 centers throughout Israel. The program is scheduled to commence during the upcoming first semester of the academic year, just a few weeks away.
Shani Daniel Deutsch, the CEO of Shechakim College, expressed her enthusiasm about this collaboration, stating, "Shechakim College was established in 2016 with the conviction that many talented boys in the periphery lack access to the resources they deserve. We are delighted about our partnership with Amazon, which aligns perfectly with our vision of nurturing the potential of periphery students. We hope that this collaboration with Amazon will ultimately benefit all students in Israel."
This development follows the recent announcement that Amazon Web Services (AWS) intends to launch its cloud infrastructure services in Israel, making them accessible to the public. AWS has also unveiled an economic impact study highlighting its plans to invest an estimated $7.2 billion in Israel by 2037. Part of the "Nimbus" project, AWS's cloud services will be extended to government entities, local authorities, government-owned companies, and public sector organizations, with the overarching goal of fostering innovation and advancing digital services for the Israeli populace.
