A senior member of the Hamas terrorist organization and a member of the Hamas political bureau, Musa Abu Marzouk, recently described the strategy of the "axis of resistance" to Israel as a vision of a multi-arena campaign that aims to keep Israel in a constant state of instability and threats to its interests.

Hamas, after its internal elections at the beginning of 2021, made the decision to align itself with the pro-Iranian "axis of resistance" following extensive internal deliberations. From October 2022, with the renewal of relations between Hamas and Syria, a new phase of coordination among the axis forces commenced. As a result, Hamas became a "full" member of the "Jerusalem Axis," which encompasses militias and proxies operating under Iran's influence, including resistance factions, Syria, and Hezbollah.

In an interview with the Hamas-affiliated newspaper "Palestine," Musa Abu Marzouk emphasized the axis of resistance's central goals, focusing on bringing Israel into a constant state of instability and threatening its interests. He stressed the importance of living under constant threat to destabilize the enemy.

Abu Marzouk revealed that the resistance is actively working to realize the principle of multiple fronts against Israel. He pointed out that the idea of multiple arenas is becoming a reality and is already discouraging Israel from acting on certain fronts, such as the northern front witnessing tensions with the occupation.

However, Abu Marzouk also acknowledged the complexity of close action within the "unification of the arenas" strategy. Each geographic front and component has its own unique characteristics, and successful joint action necessitates the availability of favorable conditions simultaneously.

Regarding Iran's involvement, Abu Marzouk emphasized that Iran actively participates alongside the Palestinian resistance in managing military confrontations with Israel. This support comes in the form of generous funding, weapons, and technologies used by the resistance to develop effective tools to deal with the Israeli forces.

The strategy of the axis of resistance poses significant challenges and threats to Israel's security and interests. As Hamas aligns itself with this axis and seeks coordination among its allies, it has become a formidable force with the potential to disrupt the stability of the region. Israel now faces a complex dilemma, having to navigate threats from multiple fronts, both external and internal, to ensure its security and survival.
