An IDF video snippet showing the strike that took out Muhammad Kamal Naim

In a decisive blow to Hezbollah's operations, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced today the elimination of Muhammad Kamal Naim, a senior commander in Hezbollah’s elite Radwan unit. Naim, who was responsible for the terrorist organization’s anti-tank missile system, was targeted in a high-precision airstrike in the Nabatia region of southern Lebanon. This strike marks a significant achievement for the IDF as it continues its expanded military operations on multiple fronts.

Naim's Role in Hezbollah’s Terrorist Operations

Naim was a key figure in orchestrating attacks against Israel, particularly through the use of anti-tank missiles aimed at both military and civilian targets. His unit had been instrumental in planning and carrying out numerous assaults, threatening the northern and central regions of Israel. The IDF views his elimination as a critical step in neutralizing Hezbollah’s missile threat.

IDF spokesman Brig. Gen. Daniel Hagari emphasized that this operation "closed a deadly circle," referring to Naim’s role in recent missile attacks aimed at Israel. These attacks were part of Hezbollah's ongoing escalation, which has seen rockets and missiles launched deep into Israeli territory.

Escalation on Israel’s Northern Front

Earlier today, Hezbollah launched a barrage of rockets toward northern and central Israel. While some were intercepted by Israel’s advanced air defense systems, others landed in open areas, causing no injuries but heightening tensions along the border. In response, Israeli Air Force (IAF) fighter jets swiftly retaliated, targeting the launch sites in southern Lebanon with precision strikes.

The IAF also intercepted two unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) that were approaching Israeli airspace from Syria. These UAVs were neutralized before they could penetrate Israeli airspace, preventing what could have been a significant aerial threat.

A Broader Campaign Against Hezbollah

The elimination of Naim is part of a broader IDF campaign to dismantle Hezbollah’s military infrastructure. Over the last 24 hours, IDF forces have intensified their operations in southern Lebanon, targeting over 200 Hezbollah sites. These include missile launchers, anti-tank positions, military compounds, and extensive weapons caches. The airstrikes have been coordinated with ground forces, who have been engaging Hezbollah fighters in intense, face-to-face combat.

IDF Division 162, Gaza Division, and Division 252 are at the forefront of this offensive, operating both in Lebanon and the Gaza Strip. In southern Lebanon, IDF units have successfully neutralized dozens of Hezbollah terrorists in close-quarter battles, while the Air Force continues its relentless campaign to destroy the group’s operational capabilities.

Ground Operations in the Gaza Strip

Simultaneously, IDF forces are engaged in a fierce ground campaign in Gaza. Division 162 and the Gaza Division have eliminated multiple terrorist squads in intense combat. One notable operation saw an IDF unit, backed by air support, "close a circle" on a group of terrorists who had fired anti-tank missiles at Israeli forces. The Air Force responded decisively, eliminating the terrorists in an airstrike.

The scale of IDF operations in Gaza is unprecedented, with the destruction of around 220 terrorist infrastructures over the past 24 hours. These targets include tunnels, weapons storage facilities, and command centers. In one operation, IDF forces discovered and neutralized a series of underground shafts used by terrorists for launching surprise attacks.

A Unified Front Against Multiple Threats

The IDF is simultaneously facing challenges from both Hezbollah in Lebanon and terror organizations in Gaza, yet remains resolute. As airstrikes and ground operations continue, the IDF is committed to protecting Israeli citizens and neutralizing the threats posed by these terror organizations.

Defense officials have reiterated that the current military campaign is far from over, with additional strikes and operations planned to ensure that Hezbollah and other terrorist groups will no longer be able to strike at Israel with impunity.

While the situation remains fluid, Israel’s military dominance in the air and on the ground is sending a clear message to its adversaries: any act of aggression will be met with overwhelming force.

This latest round of operations underscores the IDF’s capability to swiftly eliminate key terrorist leaders and disrupt their ability to target Israel, further solidifying its strategic advantage in the region.
