Menachem Ordman, a 33-year-old Jew and father of five who was wounded Tuesday afternoon in the shooting attack in northern Samaria was shot while he was talking on the phone and parked with his car in the intersection between the settlement of Mevo Dotan and Harmesh, near the Palestinian village of Ya'ebd.

Ordman was in his car when the terrorists' car approached him: "They massively opened fire, it took me a moment to realize that I was still alive," Ordman told reporters from his hospital bed. "I saw a barrel aimed at me from point-blank range. I was standing at the intersection to talk on the phone, and then a car passed by in the opposite lane from which I was shot. I saw that I was injured, there was blood in the car. I was sure that I was dead."

"I was hit in the hand by a bullet, today I will undergo surgery to remove the shrapnel and with God's help I will be released tomorrow," Ordman added. His condition was defined as severe yet stable and he was taken to Hillel Yaffe Hospital in Hadera. "They really glued themselves to my car and started shooting at close range with an M16," the wounded man said. His watch, hit by shrapnel or a bullet, stopped at the time of the attack. The attack came by chance on the same day Ordman was supposed to sign a contract and become head of security for the Israeli community of Mevo Dotan.

"I call on the Israeli government to block all the crossings and all the options that the Palestinians and the terrorists have to cross into Israeli territory, and to launch an operation to eliminate terrorism in the northern Samaria region, which has simply become the Wild West. I miraculously got out alive, two weeks ago Meir, may God avenge him, was murdered. We don't want any more similar stories," Ordman added.

An emergency medic with Magen David Adom, Yehuda Rabani said after the shooting attack in which 4 others were also injured: "We received a call about a wounded person from a shooting incident who reached the Rihan crossing. Together with a military medical force that was at the crossing, we gave him medical treatment that included stopping the bleeding and bandages and evacuated him in an MDA intensive care vehicle to Hillel Yaffe Hospital in moderate condition. The injured who suffered limb injuries were all fully conscious. We evacuated 3 of them to Hillel Yaffe Hospital in an MDA intensive care vehicle and a military intensive care vehicle. The fourth injured was evacuated by helicopter to Sheba-Tel Hashomer Hospital."
