After the Chancellor of Germany, the President of the United States, and other leaders, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak arrived in Israel on Thursday morning. "I am here in Israel at this crucial time, and above all, I am here to express my solidarity with the people of Israel," Sunak stated upon his arrival at Ben Gurion Airport.

Yesterday, amid the controversy surrounding the explosion in a hospital in Gaza and the worldwide dispute between various versions, with Hamas blaming Israel, Sunak responded swiftly to the terrorist organization's false claims. British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak condemned Hamas and also made a pointed remark about Russia, stating, "We don't have to believe Hamas any more than we believe what comes out of the Kremlin."

As mentioned, Sunak's visit follows that of President Biden and Chancellor Schultz. During his visit, Sunak is expected to meet with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, President Isaac Herzog, and representatives of the families whose loved ones were kidnapped by Hamas to the Gaza Strip. "You have suffered from unspeakable acts of terrorism, and I want you to know that Britain and I stand by your side," said the British Prime Minister. Sunak arrived in Israel a day after the exciting visit of US President Joe Biden.

"Unlike the Holocaust, we will not stand idly by. The people of Israel live," Biden declared before departing from Israel. He also mentioned, "More than 1,300 Israelis were murdered, including American citizens, and hundreds of young people who were at a music festival were shot and killed." Biden met with representatives of the families of the kidnapped and survivors of the Hamas massacre. "Dozens of innocent people, parents of children, were taken hostage. Babies were slaughtered, entire families were murdered, women were raped, bodies were burned alive. These atrocities remind us of the terrible acts of ISIS."

"Such actions cannot be excused. The brutality we witnessed would be shocking anywhere in the world, but here in Israel, it is even more profound. A holy Jewish holiday became a part of the Jewish people's holocaust, resurfacing terrible memories of genocide and anti-Semitism against the Jewish people. The world stood on the other side. At that time, it saw and knew but did nothing. We will not stand by and do nothing. Not today, not tomorrow, and not ever."

Earlier this week, German Chancellor Olaf Schulz also arrived in Israel. "My visit to Israel comes during challenging times among friends, and in difficult times, Germany has only one place, and that is by Israel's side," Schultz stated. "The security of Israel and its citizens is an integral part of Germany's political agenda, and we intend to act accordingly. It is crucial to state this during these challenging times. German history and the responsibility stemming from the Holocaust oblige us to ensure Israel's existence and security."
