In the wake of relentless airstrikes on more than 400 targets in the Gaza Strip since Sunday evening, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) are resolutely signaling that the intensity of these attacks will not wane anytime soon. These airstrikes have been bolstered by the increasing involvement of artillery shells from the formidable 162nd Division within the Gaza Strip.

This formidable offensive has been a coordinated effort, led by the 401st Brigade of the Armored Corps and supported by the Givati Brigade, all under the umbrella of the 162nd Division. Tanks, combat helicopters, and artillery units have systematically neutralized anti-tank launchers and observation posts manned by Hamas terrorists within the Gaza Strip. In these operations alone, the IDF reports that dozens of individuals, including some senior field commanders, have been eliminated.

Simultaneously, the Israeli Air Force, with its fighter jets and helicopters, has targeted terrorist infrastructure, including a multi-story building housing such elements. This concerted effort resulted in the elimination of key terrorists belonging to various extremist organizations operating within the Gaza Strip.

The IDF, on Tuesday morning, embarked on a parallel campaign aimed at winning the hearts and minds of the Gaza population. They began distributing leaflets in Gaza, urging residents to provide valuable and reliable information regarding any abductees. In return, the IDF promises enhanced security and monetary rewards, emphasizing complete confidentiality. The appeal reads, "Solid and useful information regarding the abductees in your area. The Israeli army assures you that it will invest maximum effort to provide you with security for your home and a monetary reward."

In addition to the ongoing operations in Gaza, another significant development occurred in the northern sector, where the IDF aircraft took out a terrorist who had been identified in Lebanese territory, near the Baram area. This individual had attempted to launch a rocket from Lebanese soil toward Israeli territory. This incident underscores the persistent threat posed by Hezbollah in the region. While Nasrallah's organization may be significantly impaired, it does not imply a cessation of attempts to carry out attacks or fire anti-aircraft missiles from Lebanon.

Chief of Staff Hertzi Halevi weighed in on the evolving situation, stating that the IDF is prepared for a potential ground entry into the Gaza Strip. He emphasized the readiness of the forces, highlighting their training and strength, capable of acting decisively against the enemy. Halevi also noted that "Hamas is already regretting" the terrorist attack that occurred on October 7.

Halevi stressed that the conflict is likely to be protracted, and operations might extend beyond the country's borders. Addressing the role of the United States in this war, he affirmed, "The State of Israel does not rely on foreign troops to protect us. We will defend ourselves, but we appreciate the international community's recognition that terrorism cannot be tolerated anywhere."
