As the 27th day of the ongoing war in Israel dawns, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have reported the loss of 17 soldiers since the commencement of the ground operation in Gaza. Simultaneously, hundreds of Hamas terrorists have met a similar fate within the same time frame. The Israeli artillery and Air Force units continue to target rocket launcher sites in Lebanon, as the conflict shows no sign of abating. Furthermore, President Biden has issued a call to Israel, urging a temporary halt to hostilities for humanitarian reasons and to consider the possibility of hostage releases.

The 13th Battalion of the renowned Golani Brigade, which tragically lost 41 officers in a surprise attack by Hamas on the first day of the war, took a leading role in the fighting in the Gaza Strip on Wednesday night. The battalion's forces, displaying remarkable bravery, eliminated approximately 20 terrorists and operated in tandem with the Nahal Brigade, tank units, and combat engineering forces.

Throughout the night, the Golani Battalion and a number of tanks encountered terrorist squads who unleashed anti-tank missiles, set off explosives, and hurled grenades. They engaged in prolonged battles with the terrorists, receiving crucial support from artillery and tank fire provided by the brigade, all while coordinating with fighter jets and a nearby missile ship. The IDF reported that these fierce battles resulted in the deaths of numerous terrorists.

In a noteworthy development, the crossing authority in the Gaza Strip, operating under the rule of Hamas, has published a list of 600 individuals holding foreign citizenships. Many of them appear to be Palestinians with dual citizenship, who will now be permitted to exit the Gaza Strip and seek refuge in Egypt via the Rafah crossing. This list includes 400 Americans, along with citizens from Mexico, South Korea, Hungary, Croatia, Greece, Chad, Bahrain, Italy, Switzerland, Sri Lanka, The Netherlands, Belgium, and North Macedonia.

This marks the second consecutive day that the Rafah crossing is open to foreign nationals wishing to escape the relentless conflict in the Gaza Strip. Yesterday, 320 foreign citizens passed through it to reach Egypt, including several dozen Gazans who had been injured during the hostilities. The Palestinian news agency "Shihab" reported that the passage will also be available today to evacuate approximately 60 wounded individuals to Egypt.

Meanwhile, the situation on the northern border, where Israel faces the terrorist organization Hezbollah, remains at a relatively low level of intensity. Between Wednesday and Thursday, a surface-to-air missile was launched from Lebanese territory at an IDF drone. In response, IDF forces swiftly retaliated against the terrorist squad responsible for the attack and the launch site used for the missile. Fortunately, no damage was inflicted upon the aircraft.

Additionally, several rocket launches originating from Lebanese territory were detected, aimed at the area of Mount Dov and Hermon. These rockets landed in open areas, prompting artillery forces to retaliate against the source of the attacks.

President Joe Biden, addressing a fundraising event, emphasized the pressing need for a "humanitarian ceasefire" amidst the ongoing war between Israel and the terrorist organization Hamas. The President made these remarks following an interruption by a protester who called for his intervention to end the violence in the Gaza Strip. President Biden acknowledged the emotions of the protester, who was subsequently escorted out of the room by security personnel.
