The Minister of Defense and Chairman of the โMahane Haleumiโ (National Camp) coalition party spoke at the opening of the "Shabbat Square" conference held in Jerusalem, an ultra-orthodox publication focusing on politics and orthodox welfare.
Gantz made it clear in his remarks that he has no intention of letting the ongoing Israeli election crisis continue. In his blessing to start the "Shabbat Square" conference held in Jerusalem, Gantz said that "the upcoming elections are the fifth time that Israel is going to the polls in four years, Israel cannot be dragged into more elections."
It seems that Netanyahu still has the gift of political manipulation. After Bibi rehashed a 20-year-old accusation that has been proven wrong, the Finance Minister, Avigdor Lieberman, lost it and accused Netanyahu of using Nazi tactics to stir up public discourse against him amid election season campaigning. Lieberman was referring to the claim that he sought to order the murder of a police superintendent 20 years ago. Bibi's allegation was meant to evoke a response that makes Lieberman look foolish, it is why he has owned Israeli politics over the last two decades.
The "Council of the Century", an Israeli Political Action Committee and Zionist movement which consists of the heads of the leading organizations in the various sectors in Israel, presented to the heads of the political system the 7 basic requirements that they are required to include in the platforms of the parties. At the center of their program is the establishment of two new centers in the Negev and the Galilee and the injection of hundreds of millions of shekels into those projects

Among the members of the council are the leading organizations in Israel, including the Association of Chambers of Commerce, the Presidency of Employers and Businesses, the Local Government Center, the Regional Government Center, the Or Movement, the National Union of Students, the Association of Contractors - Boni Ha'aretz, the Presidency of the Business Sector, the Israel Hi-Tech Association, The Council of Children and Youth Organizations and the Israeli Association for Advanced Industries IATI.
"The demographic trends and forecasts for the coming decades indicate that in 2048, the 100th year of the state, there will be approximately 17 million inhabitants in Israel. Seemingly a gift - but this could be very dangerous for us if the priorities and decisions of the governments do not change soon," the council said.
"If we continue with the current trend, about 13 million residents are expected to live in the center of the country and only 4 million are expected to live in the Negev and the Galilee so 75% of the country's residents will be crowded into 25% of its territory. The meaning is clear: the erosion of the central region due to skyrocketing housing prices, overcrowding, traffic jams, air pollution, and the lack of land reserves, along with the relegation of economically and socially weak populations to the Negev and Galilee. This situation may lead Israel to become a third-world country. The leaders of the authorities, the associations of civil and business society, the umbrella organizations and the future in the State of Israel, joined together out of a sense of responsibility to act in the coming years to promote a national movement, forward-looking, in the face of the challenges of the present, population growth forecasts and the growing gaps between the regions and residents in Israel."

Ronnie Palmer, Secretary General of the Century Council said in a statement: "A country without a vision and a plan is the same as a society without structure, goals, and a future. In the absence of these, it may fail and fall. In all areas we are required to think for the future and take immediate action, we are committed to building the next chapter of the State of Israel as soon as possible, we are 50 years late. This action can only be done by joining forces."
After a year in the Bennett-Lapid government, Blue & White party leader Benny Gantz told the many supporters who came to his campaign launching party, under the slogan "Acharavโ (โafter himโ in Hebrew), that he is presenting himself as a candidate for prime minister.
Polls show Gantz with another strong showing and there is even speculation that he can become the next prime minister if he courts the ultra-orthodox parties.
The Chairman of the 'Israel Beitenu' party and Minister of Finance Avigdor Lieberman attacked the orthodox party 'Shas' yesterday amid its election campaign, which was launched last week under the title "Hungry for Change".
In the campaign video, Shas chairman Aryeh Deri presented his first election promise: "The entry of Shas into the government will be unequivocally conditional on an armor of one billion shekels each year going to the food stamp program for the eligible, from all sectors, as part of a comprehensive plan to eradicate poverty and aid citizens in Israel, suffering under the rampant rise in the cost of living under the government of Lapid and Lieberman."
