China has seized on the US's absence from the Middle East

After months of widely reported reconciliation meetings between various Middle Eastern countries, largely hosted by the Chinese government, it is sadly becoming clear that the Biden administration’s failing foreign affairs policies have left the region at the mercy of the CCP’s ambitions. What may happen as a result of this newly cemented Chinese influence on the region remains to be seen; the only thing which can easily be predicted is that the United States will be at the losing end if this continues.

Recently, Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen and his Palestinian Authority counterpart, Riyad Al-Malki spoke with the Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang in two separate conversations. According to the Chinese ministry’s statement afterward which expressed its fears of an escalation in tensions between Israel and the Palestinians, Beijing has now offered its assistance in establishing renewed peace talks between the Palestinian Authority and the State of Israel.

The news of China’s sudden interest to finalize some sort of Two-State solution agreement comes just as the meetings hosted by Beijiing between Saudis and Iranian officials are showing their impact on the region's politics. Everything from the Assad regime’s reunion with Saudi Arabia to Hamas leadership’s visit to Mecca symbolizes a shifting dynamic that was all carefully planned by the Chinese Communist Party.

Out of all the unexpected news, China’s latest talks with the Israeli and Palestinian diplomats seem to have helped give an idea as to what they are attempting to do; replace the US administration’s status as a decision-maker in the world, starting with the Middle East. After the statements both by Ministers Eli Cohen and Qin Gang were published, Netanyahu was clear to also speak with the press in favor of his American allies, but perhaps with a warning.

After saying "We respect China, we do great business with it, but we have a necessary alliance with our great friend the United States of America, Netanyahu added that “Not only Israel, but most countries in the Middle East would welcome greater American involvement in the Middle East." The Israeli leader was saying in other words that while he may prefer the US’s external involvement in the region, in the past few years it truly has been lacking. It would also not be too far-fetched to assume that China’s strategy for achieving their Two-State solution is unifying Israel’s enemies and forcing the Zionist state into submission while handing over Judea and Samaria to the PA; all in return for the Chinese-maintained promise of peace in the Middle East.

If that strategy were to come to fruition, China’s influence would very quickly impress the Middle East’s European neighbors. Western leaders like French President Emmanuel Macron, who have already recognized the crumbling American policy which began with the Biden administration, would gladly accept President Xi’s power and influence on the entire Mediterranean Basin. All these roughly predicted outcomes are being played out as the Biden administration remains heavily invested in the Russian invasion of Ukraine and its highly experienced leader in the Oval Office, at the humble age of 80, quite frankly lacks the stamina to fully grasp the fastly turning Earth and its shifting powers.

With all radical conspiracy theories put aside, as some may put the narrative depicted in the latter, the political climate of this world is everchanging and has always included shifting elite powers who largely pave the futures for all humans as a collective. With that in mind, and the Middle East as ‘the collective’ within that equation, it should be fair to argue that American influence which peaked with the Abraham Accords under President Trump is slowly being replaced by President Biden’s failed policies and reborn Chinese influence on the entire Middle East.
