Rocket fire from Gaza killed two in Israel.

Many jokes were circulating in the streets of Gaza all throughout Sunday surrounding the death of Abdullah Abu Geba, a 35-year-old Palestinian laborer in Israel who was killed on Saturday by a rocket fired by the Islamic Jihad. In Gaza, they chose to commemorate him and defined him as "the luckiest Gazan martyr in the world."

The reason for the jokes surrounding him is the decision of the Israeli Ministry of Defense and National Insurance to recognize him as a victim of hostilities and to recognize his family, his wife, and six children as direct victims and therefore entitled to compensation for his death and a monthly allowance. The Ministry of Defense announced that the Palestinian worker who was killed on Saturday will indeed be recognized as a casualty of hostilities. The Palestinian worker from Gaza will also be commemorated as part of the state memorial ceremonies.

The brother of the deceased, also a resident of the Gaza Strip, was seriously injured as a result of the rocket impact, and he is hospitalized in Soroka Hospital. He will be recognized as an officially disabled person by Israeli National Insurance and later the percentage of his disability will be determined based on his abilities, he will be given monthly compensation and compensation for the purpose of rehabilitation. The victim, Abdullah Abu Geba, 35 years old, was first taken to Soroka Hospital in Be'er Sheva, suffering from injuries to his stomach and chest, and died in the operating room. His 40-year-old brother also underwent surgery.

The two worked together with a Bedouin-Israeli laborer and received an official work permit during the IDF operation. This permit will be investigated as well as the question of why they were not evacuated from there as part of the operation to isolate the space that the IDF demanded as part of the instructions of the Home Front Command.

The Compensation Law for Victims of Hostilities states that any Israeli citizen or person who entered Israel and stayed there according to the law will be recognized as a victim of hostilities and will be entitled to rights from the National Insurance system. The Ministry of Defense issued an official statement on the matter and said: "Abdullah Abu Geba, a resident of Gaza who was killed by a rocket during Operation Shield and Arrow, was recognized as a victim of a hostile action and his family will be entitled to receive added rights in accordance with the law."
