On the 39th day of the war in Israel, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) continue their ground invasion of Gaza City, achieving a symbolic milestone. Infantry soldiers from the Golani Brigade were pictured waving Israeli flags inside Hamas's Military Police headquarters. Meanwhile, in the Palestinian city of Tulkarm in Samaria, Israeli troops conducted operations to make arrests of local jihadists, leading to intense gunfights. Additionally, tensions and escalating skirmishes have arisen on Israel's northern border with Lebanon.

The IDF's presence deepens in the Gaza Strip, and Tuesday morning brought further evidence of this as Golani soldiers proudly displayed the Israeli flag inside the captured Hamas military police headquarters. These soldiers, part of Golani's 13th Battalion, had tragically lost 41 of their comrades in a terrorist attack on October 7. They also posed for photos with Israeli flags inside the organization's Legislative Council building.

In Arabic, IDF Spokesman Lt. Col. Avihay Adraee conveyed important information to the residents of the Gaza Strip. He announced the opening of a safe passage from the north of the Gaza Strip, which would remain accessible until 4:00 PM, through the Salah Al-Din highway towards the southern region of the Gaza Valley. He urged the residents, "For your safety, join the hundreds of thousands of residents who have moved south in the last few days." Adraee emphasized that in light of the ongoing fighting in the coastal area, those who were unable to leave the area and move to the safe zone could do so that day.

Adraee also revealed that a tactical truce was expected for humanitarian purposes in the Eldarj and Al-Tupah neighborhoods between the hours of 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM on Tuesday. He sent a message to the residents of Gaza, "Do not surrender to Hamas, which has lost control over the northern area of the Gaza Strip and is doing everything in its power to prevent you from moving south and protecting yourselves. If Hamas members obstruct your way, contact us via text message."

The Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that at least three Palestinians were killed in an IDF attack using a UAV in the Tulkarm area of western Samaria. Furthermore, it was reported that earlier, two armed Palestinians were shot dead by IDF forces operating in the refugee camp in the city while on an arrest operation and facing gunfire from local terrorists.

While Hezbollah continues its increasingly consistent rocket and anti-tank fire towards Israel, the IDF responds proportionally by targeting the sources of fire and other critical Hezbollah infrastructure. Brigadier General Daniel Hagari, the IDF spokesman, commented on the escalation of Hezbollah's attacks in the north, stating, "The security situation in the north will not remain as it is now," hinting at the potential for a larger IDF retaliation.
