Anyone familiar with the Israeli-Palestinain conflict on both sides recognizes that terrorism against Jews is a key part of the nationalistic resistance of the Palestinian cause, legitimized by the Palestinian leaders on all levels; whether they justify it or not depends on the side each individual takes. For the lone wolf terrorist who is planning out an attack on Israelis, mostly but not only Jews, the idealistic consideration may have some impact on their actions, however, it is minor and insignificant in comparison with the fiscal benefits of committing such unforgivable acts.

Anyone who knows geography, geology, and the causes of earthquakes would certainly know that Israel sits directly on top of a crucial meeting point of the African continental tectonic plate with its rifting piece known as the Arabian plate, which is extremely prone to earthquakes. Virtually every year minor earthquakes are reported by the Israeli authorities and every century or so a major earthquake will strike the region. Due to these conditions, Israel has implemented a unique way of building that ensures the majority of structures can withstand the most moderate to severe earthquakes.

Earlier this week, Israeli Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben Gvir, instructed police officers to take down any PLO flags waving within sovereign Israeli territory. His instructions, which were not orders but closer to general guidelines, were headlined by pro-Palestinian media as a direct attack on freedom of speech for Arab-Israelis living within the Jewish state. However, hidden in their utopian perception of reality lies an uncomfortable truth most journalists let alone their readers refuse to see, it is called war. The Palestinian people are actively battling Israel, with weapons and in the media, with the objective of dismantling the Jewish State.

On January 9th, 1952 the Knesset passed the resolution that would lead to Israel accepting the German offer of reparations for the Holocaust, the resolution passed with a 61-50 vote. The reparations stood at $800 million over the period of 14 years and would eventually be used by the young state for purchasing necessities like oil and building materials.

While most countries or people, especially the Palestinians who play the victim as a fundraising tool, would gladly accept money thrown at them, the Israeli decision to accept the reparations was anything but an easy one.
