Tens of thousands of people participated Tuesday afternoon in the funeral procession of the head of the Ponevezh Yeshiva and the leader of the Lithuanian-Ultra Orthodox sect, Rabbi Gershon Edelstein, who died Tuesday morning at the age of 100. The funeral procession began with the recitation of the Psalms recited by the Rabbi's son Zatzal at the Ponevezh Yeshiva hall and ended with his burial at a cemetery in the Tel Aviv suburb of Bnei Brak.

According to Turkish reports, local security services thwarted the activity of the Mossad organization against Iran in Turkey, 11 people were arrested and three are still wanted. Also according to the same report, the cell planned to spy on an Iranian company and 23 people with business ties to Iran in the country. No Israeli official has commented on the developments and claimed Mossad activity thus far.

The head of the Israel Defense Forces Intelligence Division, Major General Aharon Haliva, was interviewed Monday evening at the Herzliya Conference of Reichman University's Institute for Policy and Strategy and said that if Nasrallah and Hezbollah try to carry out even a small attack on Israeli civilians, it will lead to a big mistake and war.

Overnight, in a spectacularly precise strike, the Israel Defense Forces killed the head of the rocket division of the Islamic Jihad in the Gaza Strip, Ali Hassan Raleigh. Despite this, throughout the night no rockets had been fired from the Gaza Strip into Israeli territory, and only at 08:22 AM did the shooting begin when the sirens were heard for the first time in eight hours. About an hour after the sirens this morning, the Palestinians reported an IDF attack in the northern Gaza Strip.
