During a cabinet meeting to observe the large-scale Israel Defense Forces exercise taking place this week, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke about the tense security situation in the various sectors and how he plans on dealing with it all. "The reality in our region is changing rapidly. We are not resting on our laurels. We are adjusting our war doctrine and our options of action in accordance with these changes, in accordance with our goals which do not change," he noted.

After the successful passage of the budget law and the cancellation of the 2005 Disengagement Law in Homesh and northern Samaria, the leaders of the Israeli right-wing “Sovereignty Movement”, Yehudit Katsober and Nadia Mater sent a letter to the leaders of the coalition, requesting that sovereignty be applied immediately in Judea, Samaria, as well as the Jordan Valley.

The terrorist organization "Lone Wolves" linked to Hezbollah issued threatening publications on the various Arab news networks in which they vowed to kill the Israeli head of the Samaria Regional Council, Yossi Dagan. Following this, Dagan was once again declared a threatened personality of the highest rank, and security guards and Shin Bet personnel were attached to him.

The Minister of Defense, Yoav Gallant, delivered a speech while awarding the ranks of Major General to Nimrod Aloni, who will assume the position of Commander of the Depth Command and Commander of the Military Colleges, and to David Zini, who will be appointed Commander of the Training and Command in the Land divisions and Commander of the Joint Chiefs of Staff operations division.

A busy night for Israel's security forces as several militant attacks in both the north and the south of Samaria caused injuries to civilians and soldiers alike.  The most serious of the wounded appears to be a Palestinian child caught in the crossfire of terrorists and Israeli forces, however, as of now, the details of what happened are still unclear.
