Terrorists chose a day that saw more massive protests against the Netanyahu government's Judicial Reform to attack Israelis, who more than likely support a Palestinian state. Hamas ultimately took credit for the attack, issuing a statement indicating this was but the first of many attacks. And as usual, they were handing out candy and celebrating in Palestinian cities as another martyr made the nation proud by attacking innocent and peaceful civilians who were Jewish.

Actor Chaim Topol passed away Thursday morning at the age of 87. Topol, was also an Israeli singer, film producer, painter, illustrator, writer, poet, voice-over artist, philanthropist, and TV host. Aside from being the first Israeli ever to be nominated for an Oscar and a Tony Award, Topol snagged two Golden Globe Awards, beating out icons such as Gene Wilder for his timeless portrayal of Willy Wonka and the legendary Walter Matthau. In 2015, Topol received the 2015 Israel Prize for Lifetime Achievement, for a special contribution to society and the country, and also won the prestigious “David’s Harp” Prize.

A rocket launch was detected between Tuesday and Wednesday from the Gaza strip towards Israel and landed in Gaza. According to Palestinian reports, the rocket was fired from the Beit Hanun area, apparently towards the Shaar HaNegev Regional Council. An Israel Defense Forces spokesman said: "A launch was detected which apparently fell within the territory of the Gaza Strip. An alert was activated on an application in open areas only."

Israel Defense Forces, along with special police units operated on Tuesday in the Jenin refugee camp following information from the Shin Bet regarding the terrorist who murdered the late Yaniv brothers in an attack in Huwara that triggered a violent riot by extremist Israelis in Samaria. The suspect, Abdel-Fattah Harusha was a 48-year-old Hamas operative from Nablus, he was killed during the operation along with six armed Palestinians who returned heavy fire trying to prevent Israeli forces from carrying out the arrest of Harusha. According to Palestinian Health Ministry sources, twenty-six Palestinians were wounded in the melee, although it is not known if some or all of the wounded were bystanders or participants in the attack on the Israeli forces.

In a video gone viral that has been widely misrepresented across social media, Israel Defense Forces soldiers in Huwara were recorded Monday evening dancing with Chabad Chassidim who arrived with a vehicle with the Lubavitch Rebbe’s picture on it, along with a microphone with the announcement "Happy Purim", to make bring the holiday spirit to the soldiers who will not be able to join their families.
