Despite the growth potential of Israeli companies in the field of Crypto Currency, the regulatory legislation in Israel is not adapted to the digital currency industry, thus preventing the development of the market in Israel. A new Knesset initiative is looking to change that.

According to Israel Defense Forces data, there was a significant increase in the number of terrorist attacks on roads and traffic routes in Judea and Samaria during the first half of 2023 compared to the same period in 2022. At the same time, there was also a steep increase in the number of incidents of other nationalist-motivated crime in the region.

This past Wednesday, the lobby to apply sovereignty in the Jordan Valley was launched, led by Knesset members Dan Iloz of Likud and Yossi Taib of Shas and with the cooperation of the Sovereignty movement. The lobby was established with the aim of bringing about a significant achievement in the field of applying sovereignty in the Jordan Valley, already in the current Knesset term.

Members of Kibbutz Merav, located on the slopes of Gilboa, near the seam line with northern Samaria, have been suffering for the past two months from random shootings aimed at their Kibbutz from the Palestinian Authority. In a special initiative, the residents sent a letter in Arabic to the residents of the nearby Arab village of Jilbon and demanded that they act so that the shootings do not happen again.

The Minister of Defense, Yoav Gallant, spoke at the third crypto conference of the Defense Ministry’s National Bureau for Counter-Terror Financing. In his speech, Gallant revealed a mission that he approved a few weeks ago to confiscate terrorist funds that had been laundered using digital currencies and were intended for use by the terrorist organizations financed by Iran.
